DIGNITY IN CARE: NEXT COURSE

Learn the fundamentals of the dignity model and the ABCD of Dignity in Care, apply clinical conversation techniques and integrate dignity-enforcing methods in the caretaking of elderly or incurably ill people. The next "Dignity in Care" course will be held in Lucerne in spring and in collaboration with Artiset (previously Curaviva). It lasts one day and is particularly suitable for employees in nursing, care, activation, pastoral care and Spitex or as further training for psychologists, therapists and other professionals.

Programme and contents
After the introduction to the fundamentals of Dignity Therapy, participants learn how to identify and apply dignity-enforcing factors in everyday life.  After the course, you will be able to independently analyze stressful situations, use clinical interview techniques to identify and address patient needs.

Course goals

  • Developing a deeper understanding of your patients and the personality of each individual

  • Being able to apply conversation techniques learned in the course into your everyday professional life

  • You will promote self-care and the quality of life of your patients because you will be better able to respond to their wishes, needs and interests.
